New Zealand Dairy Careers (NZDC) is excited to introduce a unique Work Exchange Scheme approved by Immigration New Zealand.

Explore New Dairy Horizons

This programme is designed for young dairy farmers aged 18-30 from both New Zealand and Ireland, aiming to broaden their horizons and enhance their skills through international experience.

NZDC, recognized by Immigration New Zealand as the sole accredited organization for the dairy industry, offers this exclusive scheme to enable past participants of the Working Holiday Visa in New Zealand another opportunity to return. This partnership with FRS reflects our commitment to nurturing global agricultural cooperation and empowering the next generation of dairy professionals.

Exchange Experience

Participants will engage in a 12-month paid placement, gaining firsthand experience in diverse dairy farming practices. Irish participants will explore New Zealand's vibrant dairy sector, enhancing their skills and understanding of different agricultural practices. Conversely, New Zealand participants will travel to Ireland, where they will work alongside local dairy farmers, learning from the best in the field.

  • For Irish in New Zealand: Experience the expansive dairy farms of Canterbury and other regions, with jobs that not only pay well but also allow time for travel and leisure.
  • For New Zealanders in Ireland: Join the close-knit farming communities and learn about intensive dairy farming, animal housing, and welfare practices.
